HON AJIBOLA ADETULA REJECTS OWO/OSE ELECTION RESULTS, DESCRIBES PROCESS AS A DISGRACE TO DEMOCRACY

The aspirant for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat, Ajibola Adetula, has declared that there was no credible election in Owo Local Government, describing the entire process as a shameful abuse of democratic principles.

According to him, the so-called election conducted in Owo fell far below acceptable democratic standards and cannot be regarded as a free, fair, or transparent exercise.

Ajibola Adetula expressed deep disappointment over the developments, stating that what took place was a complete betrayal of the will of the people and an unfortunate setback for democracy within the constituency.

He maintained that true democracy must reflect fairness, transparency, and the genuine choice of party members and the electorate, not manipulation, intimidation, or arrangements designed to favour certain interests.

“The process witnessed in Owo was not an election but a mockery of democracy. The voices of genuine party members were ignored, while the integrity of the exercise was seriously compromised,” he stated.

He further called on the leadership of the party and relevant authorities to urgently investigate the irregularities surrounding the exercise and ensure that justice prevails in the interest of peace, unity, and democratic credibility.

Ajibola Adetula reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Owo/Ose Federal Constituency and assured his supporters that the struggle for fairness, justice, and true representation remains alive.
