TAIWO FASORANTI EARNED HIS ACCEPTANCE” — DG OPOMULERO DEFENDS AIYEDATIWA’S POLITICAL STRATEGY

The Director General of the Opomulero Movement, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori, has defended the political strategy and leadership approach of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, stating that the growing acceptance of Hon. Taiwo Fasoranti across Ondo State is a product of hard work, loyalty, grassroots connection, and political consistency.

Reacting to criticisms from some political commentators regarding recent political alignments within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the DG stated that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s consultations and reconciliation efforts are aimed at strengthening party unity, ensuring stability, and positioning the APC for greater success ahead of future elections.

According to Hon. Olasupo, politics is built on relationship, trust, performance, and acceptability among party members and the people, not merely media theories or emotional arguments.

“Taiwo Fasoranti earned his growing acceptance through years of commitment to the party, accessibility to the grassroots, humility, and peaceful engagement with stakeholders across Ondo State. His support base is not manufactured through intimidation but built through genuine political relationship and loyalty,” he stated.

The DG further emphasized that Governor Aiyedatiwa has continued to demonstrate maturity, political wisdom, and leadership capacity by promoting peace and reconciliation within the APC rather than encouraging division and unnecessary rivalry.

He noted that Ondo people are intelligent enough to identify leaders who genuinely care about party growth, stability, and development, adding that the Governor’s political strategy is focused on preserving APC unity and strengthening governance across the state.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa is not fighting anyone. He is simply ensuring that the APC remains united, organized, and electorally strong. Leadership requires strategic thinking, consultation, and balancing of interests, not bitterness and endless political confrontation,” the statement added.

Hon. Olasupo also urged political actors and supporters within the APC to avoid narratives capable of creating confusion or overheating the polity, stressing that internal peace and cooperation remain essential for the progress of the party and Ondo State.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Opomulero Movement to continue supporting leadership, unity, and grassroots mobilization in defense of democratic stability and party progress.

Hon. Olasupo Olakunori
