The Director General of the Opomulero Group, Hon. Olasupo Olakunori Michael (DG Opomulero), has described the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as “Mr. Builder”, following the approval of landmark energy, infrastructure, water and education projects by the State Executive Council.
DG Opomulero said the approval of the $1.6 million UNIDO Small Hydropower Project at the Owena Dam, alongside the 7.5-megawatt gas-fired power plant to provide uninterrupted electricity for government facilities, is another demonstration that Governor Aiyedatiwa is building a modern and economically competitive Ondo State.
According to him, visionary leaders are remembered for the institutions they build and the infrastructure they leave behind, not by political slogans. He noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently demonstrated the courage to invest in projects that will benefit generations yet unborn.
“The approval of these power projects is a game changer. Stable electricity will reduce the cost of governance, improve efficiency in public institutions and create a stronger foundation for economic growth. This is why Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa deserves the title ‘Mr. Builder.’ He is steadily building the future of Ondo State,” DG Opomulero stated.
He also applauded the approval of the state’s counterpart funding for the Owena Urban Water Project, saying access to clean water remains essential to public health and sustainable development.
DG Opomulero further described the conversion of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, into Rufus Giwa University of Agriculture, Science and Technology as a bold educational reform that will strengthen research, agricultural innovation, youth empowerment and human capital development.
He noted that the ratification of 21 infrastructure projects across various local government areas confirms that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration is committed to inclusive development and balanced growth across every part of Ondo State.
“The evidence is clear for everyone to see. From roads to education, from electricity to water supply, Governor Aiyedatiwa is writing a new chapter in the development history of Ondo State. These are the qualities of a leader who is focused on performance rather than politics,” he added.
DG Opomulero called on the people of Ondo State to continue supporting Governor Aiyedatiwa, expressing confidence that the administration’s bold developmental agenda will attract more investment, create employment opportunities and improve the living standards of the people.
