The attention of the Opomulero Group has been drawn to the latest publication by Barrister Oloroogun Sola Ajisafe attacking the proposed Akure Metropolitan Flyover. Once again, he has chosen sensational rhetoric over sound reasoning, and political grandstanding over genuine concern for the development of Ondo State.
It is becoming increasingly obvious that Barrister Ajisafe is more interested in opposing every initiative of the Aiyedatiwa administration than in offering practical alternatives. His latest outburst is nothing more than a calculated attempt to mislead the public and discourage a strategic infrastructure project that will benefit generations of Ondo people.
Akure is the capital of Ondo State, not a stagnant town that should remain trapped in outdated infrastructure simply to satisfy the narrow political interests of a few perpetual critics. Every serious and progressive government invests in infrastructure ahead of population growth, and Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated the courage and vision to do exactly that.
No amount of distortion, political mischief, or alarmist commentary can change the simple truth: the Akure Metropolitan Flyover is a strategic investment in the future of our state. Those who cannot see beyond today’s traffic should not stand in the way of tomorrow’s development.
Barrister Ajisafe is entitled to his opinion, but he is not entitled to present personal conjecture as unquestionable fact or to discourage projects capable of transforming the economic and transportation landscape of Akure. Constructive criticism is welcome in a democracy; relentless opposition without credible alternatives is not leadership—it is obstruction.
The people of Ondo State are wise enough to distinguish between genuine advocacy and politically motivated pessimism. Governor Aiyedatiwa will remain focused on delivering projects that improve the lives of the people, while history will judge those who stood against progress for narrow political reasons.
